This is a very difficult subject for some people to discuss, but none the less there are important issues which we need to consider.
We are all going to die but how can we become more active in ensuring our end-of-life wishes are respected.
Jane Morris is the Vice President of Dying with Dignity Victoria. She became interested in Dying with Dignity when as a nurse and later through her own parent’s illness, she felt so hopeless and powerless in the face of such suffering.
As a result, she becoming an advocate for the Victorian Voluntary Assisted Dying legislation.
Today Jane will talk about her experiences and provide us with information, about not only her role within the organisation, but also important issues such as Enduring Powers of Attorney, Active Care Planning, Advanced Care Directive and accessing Voluntary Assisted Dying. Please make Jane welcome.

***Please note that the times for our Guest Speaker Program has changed. We were very much aware that many times the Sunbury Social Club were late in opening, leaving us standing out in the heat and cold, we have therefore decided to start our talk 15 minutes later. Could you please be at club by 10.00 ready for our Speaker to commence at 10.15am.

Attendance at Guest Speakers requires that members must be fully vaccinated. Therefore new members of U3A Sunbury must bring their vaccination certificate to be sighted at this event, unless it has been sighted and registered previously.
