Today we are going to visit Vince’s Aviation Museum. Location details to follow.
From the age of 11yrs Vince was a drummer, playing at The Palais Theatre in St Kilda and on television and radio. He studied music in England but on returning to Australia he decided on another career, working at Ansett International as a member of the ground staff.
It was from here that his passion for all things aviation grew. Starting from a small ashtray, 35years later his collection has grown so that now it is all housed in a large shed in the back of his garden. Today Vince is opening his massive collection to us.
Come and hear Vince’s story and let him take you through his collection of all things aviation including the fashions of air hostess throughout the years.
The visit will cost a gold coin donation which will be given to the Sunbury Winter Shelter who provides accommodation for the homeless in Sunbury.
We will also have morning tea with cakes and biscuits and all things yummy.
Vince is our Membership Officer and with his partner Di,is very well known in the Mahjong Group.

***Note this event is only open to those members who have been fully vaccinated as this is a requirement of not only U3A Sunbury but also The Sunbury Social Club where the event will be taking place.
