Today our Guest Speaker is Lyn Watson, a remarkable women which “A Current Affair” calls The Dingo Whisperer. She lives at The Dingo Discovery Sanctuary and Research Centre which is a 40 acres conservation establishment at the foothills of the Macedon Ranges which is also the home of 40 dingoes.
Lyn will be joined today by a dingo which she uses to demonstrate it’s unique features and qualities. We will hear all about their strength, agility and temperament. Lyn will also talk about the sanctuary’s breeding program and how it helps with the animals survival, as they gradually are becoming an endangered species.
The Dingo Discovery Sanctuary is run by volunteers and receives very little financial assistance, so much of Lyn’s work is to find donations to continue the important work of the sanctuary.
Today Lyn will bring dingo toys and children’s books and you also have a unique opportunity to have your photograph taken with a dingo, which as part of Snap and Tap costing only $5.00.
Note all monies from the sales and photographs go back to the sanctuary for the dingo’s care and survival In May, Lyn will host a visit from an American scientific group which seeks to do research which will aid the dingoes survival.
Please make Lyn and her dingo welcome.
