Our Speaker today is Catlin Healy, a psychologist who has worked for 7 years in the humanitarian aid industry with World Vision, travelling extensively in East Africa. She now works for Destiny Rescue. Destiny Rescue is an Australian organisational working overseas in nine countries across South East Asia, East Africa and Central America, locating and rescuing children who are being trafficked and sexually exploited. Sadly the largest growing illegal activity in the world, is the trade of children for sexual exploitation.
Destiny Rescue has rescue agents investigating, locating and rescuing children across the world. In 2021 alone their work led to 147 perpetrators being arrested, and 2,366 children being rescued from human trafficking and sexual exploitation.
Catlin will talk about her work with Destiny Rescue, talking about not only the challenges but also how through advocacy we can all help with the marvellous and important work that is being done by Destiny Rescue to bring children to safety.
