Greg King will be our leader for the morning and is one of our members, who has also for many years been a committed volunteer at The Ballarat Tramway Museum.
We start with morning tea at the museum, followed by a guided tour of the working tram museum and workshop, which through volunteers, preserves the heritage street tramway and trams of Ballarat.
We are then in for a treat as Greg, who is an experienced tram driver, takes us on a 100 year old Vintage Tram along the western shores of the beautiful Lake Wendouree.
We alight the tram at The Ballarat Botanical Gardens where we lunch at Pipers on the Lake a very well known Ballarat restaurant.
The afternoon leaves time by yourself to wander around the gardens and lake taking in a visit to The Conservatory to view the stunning Begonias that were the highlight of the famous Ballarat Begonia Festival just two week previously.
At 3.00pm we once again meet our coach to return to Sunbury with an expected arrival time close to 4.30pm.
