Elvis, one of the most iconic figures in the 20th century his influence on music, design, art and pop culture was profound. From his humble childhood on the poverty line in a small Mississippi town he shot to super stardom, immersed in wealth and fame. It was at this time that he purchased Graceland and created his own private haven that was never sold. Direct from the Graceland archives the exhibition features a wide range of his costumes, vintage memorabilia and treasured items from his beloved Graceland home. Fashion highlights include Elvis and Prescilla’s wedding outfits and much much more.
We catch the 9.35 Sunbury train to Bendigo so please be at the station by 9.20am. We travel by train to Bendigo arriving at 10.58. Have a quick cup of coffee at the Bendigo food arcade and then make our way to The Rifle Brigade Pub, just across from The Bendigo Art Gallery. We have been there before and the food is good, plentiful and very reasonably priced. We then go across the road for a 1.30pm start to the exhibition. You can have 90 minutes at the exhibition and still catch the 3.26pm train to Sunbury or stay later and to catch the 4.26pm train which arrives at Sunbury 5.52pm.
