Driving the Change Program has been developed by Amber Community, formerly Road Trauma Support Services which is a not for profit community organisation which contributes to the safety and well-being of road users.
The program has been funded by Hume City Council as a means to combat the high loss of life on Victorian roads.
As of August 2023, 183 lives have been lost this year, which is 22% higher than last year.
The program seeks to encourage people to have honest and sometimes challenging conversations and to share stories in the hopes that this can increase and improve people’s safe driving.
