August 15th Guest Speaker – Stuart Duff – History of Victoria Police

Stuart will share with us the history of the Victorian Police Force from the time that it was established in 1853.

One of the founding members of the Victorian Police Historical Society (founded in 1985), he has also been actively involved in the Police Museum, located in Melbourne. Stuart is a keen researcher into police history and has been involved in uncovering historical records from many  disused police stations throughout Melbourne.

Stuart is also a member of The Shenandoah Crew,  a group that explores Australia’s little known history of our involvement in the American Civil War.
