The course will be presented by Phil O’Donnell, one of our members. Phil has had 25 years of experience as a Minister of Religion, 20 years as an accredited Civil Celebrant and 15 years working in a major Melbourne funeral company.
Phil is now an owner of a national funeral information company.

This course will be presented over three weeks.
It will offer participants the opportunity to explore and discuss a range of funeral options and considerations, with no pressure to adopt any pre-paid funeral plans or funeral providers.

WEEK ONE: The Changing Face of Funerals
•Participants experiences and expectations of funerals
•Fundamental choices: e.g. burial/cremation/other, public/private/no service, religious/civil/other,
Society/ industry changes

WEEK TWO: Funeral Options/Choices
•Matters to be considered in preparing a/your funeral – list
of options/choices/considerations with discussion on
options.

WEEK THREE: Your own Funeral Wishes/arrangements
•Participants are invited to complete a ‘Statement of
Wishes’ Booklet and /or
•Actually do a mock exercise- ‘Arrangement of your funeral’
