May 14th – Guest Speaker – Ross Martin – World War 1

Ross’s talk will be about Villers-Bretonneux and its significance to Australia.

Ross says “I have held an interest in WW1 for many years, initially with the Fromelles battle during which my great uncle was lost. My interest now is the Australian Army involvement in WW1, and I have a large collection of books, etc about this subject. I have made two trips to the “Western Front” in France/Belgium, and one trip to Gallipoli to further my research. I am currently researching the men and women who had a connection with Sunbury and who were involved in WW1. I hope to publish this work when completed.”
