Come along to explore a local landmark. A private tour of the Arts Centre Melbourne has been booked for Thursday November 28th 2019.Transport will be by train, and we will meet at Sunbury Station at 8:50 to catch the 9:00 train to Flinders Street, arriving at 9:51.
On arrival there will be a short walk to the Centre where will have morning tea followed by a guided tour. Cost is $21:00 per person and includes morning tea.
You may be surprised to learn that the Arts Centre extends five floors underground (lifts available) and, rehearsals permitting, we will look inside some of the theatres. Additionally, we will have the opportunity to explore the labyrinth beneath the spire. After our tour we will have lunch at P J O’Brien’s Irish Pub, Southbank (own expense). The table is booked for 12:30. The specials menu has meals costing $20. This includes a pot of furphy (whatever that is!) or a glass of house wine.
Payment ($21 that includes morning tea), by October 24th please, can be made via EFT, or may also be made in person to Marlene.
If you wish to have an add-on to your time in Melbourne, you may like to visit the National Gallery to see the Venetian Glass Exhibition (free entry) and make your return trip to Sunbury at your leisure. As a guide, train times from Flinders Street include 14:17; 14:57 and 15:16.
