18th February 2021 – Rosa McCall

Rosa is well known in Sunbury for her love of local history. She has lived on the western side of Melbourne all her life, living on her father’s farm initially in the small township of what was West Meadows and later moving to Bulla to another farm after the first farm was sold.

She was a trained English and history teacher and has lived in Sunbury for over 30 years. Rosa has also been a very active member of the Sunbury & District Heritage Association which started in Sunbury in 1978.

Rosa will talk with us about the association’s current project, A Chronological History of Sunbury starting with very early settlement until the end of the 19 th century when Sunbury grew to becoming self- sufficient.

Rosa’s PowerPoint presentation will include documented history and photographs.

Please come and make Rosa welcome and find out about the important history of Sunbury and, for some, relive the pleasant times of your childhood.
