Colleen Weste is the teacher of this colourful and exciting course. Discover how easy and enjoyable it is to paint on silk. Vibrant colours and beautiful patterns are a feature of silk painting.
This course is suitable for beginners and experienced. It includes making two scarves which include the techniques of silk painting, Shibori, traditional and modern Japanese resist dying and Ecoprinting, using eucalypt leaves and other plants to create patterns on silk.

However, participants are asked to bring an apron, gloves,(2-3 watercolour type point brushes if you have them size 8-12)
For Arashi Shibori bring plumbing pipe and ball of crochet cotton or similar and masking tape.

• Week 1 – Silk Painting
• Week 2 – Shibori Japanese resist dying. Modern and traditional
• Week 3 – Ecoprinting
• Week 4 – Free Choice, dying, printing, stitching

This course is to be held in Colleen’s studio in Macedon. Car pooling is available.
