Sunbury Heritage Discussion Group

Join this introductory short 5-session discussion group to learn more
about Sunbury’s historical heritage.

Our facilitator Rosa McCall is an active member of the Sunbury &
District Heritage Association that also maintains the George Evans
Museum collection. Rosa will lead the discussion on Zoom, sharing
presentations & information gathered by the Association over many years,
much of which is also available online through Victorian Collections &
the Hume Civic Collection.

The first session will cover “Sunbury – Then and Now”, which covers
photographs of various places around Sunbury, showing an old image and a
recent one of each place. Further topics tbc.

Please note: while this short course will focus on the post white
settlement history of our local area, we will also try to arrange
further contributions in the future from our local indigenous peoples on
the pre-white settlement era & impacts of local settlement on their
lives and country.

Should this discussion group prove popular we may offer a further
activity in 2021.

No prerequisites: all welcome.
