Observe and discuss what is found, use iNaturalist as appropriate.
Walk in parkland, bushland and other places, (on average about 3 km)‘Forest bathe’.
Share ideas and knowledge with each other.
Field Trips for 2023 will be:
- 13 February 2023 – The Nook, Sunbury
- 27 February 2023 – The Nook, Sunbury
- 27 March 2023 – Stewarts Lane Reserve, Sunbury
- 24 April 2023 – Sanatorium Lake, Mt Macedon
- 8 May 2023 – Emu Bottoms Wetlands, Sunbury
- None in June due to Queen’s Birthday and School holidays
- July 2023 – Wanginu Park, Sunbury.
- August 2023 – Woodlands Park. Tullamarine.
- September – Emu Bottom Wetlands, Sunbury.
- October – Conglomerate Creek, Riddells Creek.
- November – Grasslands of Sunbury.
This is an observational, interactive course and is not intended to give formal instruction. There may be times where someone provides information and answers questions.
Curiosity, interest in the environment. Depending on the location, participants may need to wear closed shoes. Participants to provide own snacks, water, sun protection (hat, sunscreen, etc).
***Please note this is a face-to-face course and only those members who have been fully vaccinated and have had their vaccination certificate sighted by U3A Sunbury can attend. New members to Sunbury U3A must present their COVID vaccination certificate at the first class.
