Margaret Brown is our Guest today and she has a Diploma in Genealogical Research and is currently studying a degree in Historical Enquiry and Practice.
Margaret will demonstrate how even with the smallest clue you can make significant discoveries. Margaret will show you how to take the first steps in gathering Information you need to know and how to find it. How to find those important documents, certificates, will inquest documents and how reliable is the information on death certificates?. The costs involved, and what about those skeletons in the closet how to find your way around them. How to build and maintain a family tree and understand how you are related.
Throughout her talk Margaret will give you examples from her own research in the Australian Military history discussing the current projects she has been involved in including research in the Australian Navy in the First World War.
