Becoming a U3A Sunbury Member

Thank you for your interest in becoming a member of U3A Sunbury. 
Current Membership will expire on 31 Dec 2023
Membership can be renewed by enrolling in a 2024 activity from 18 Jan 2024. You can login & enrol yourself, or get help at our enrolment days at the library on 18 Jan 2024.
When you login & enrol your membership subscription invoice for 2024 will be generated and you can pay the fee via a bank transfer or cash on 18 January 2024.
Once your payment is received your membership for 2024 will be made active.
If you have never been a member of Sunbury U3A you can join online and enrol as above from 18 January 2024.
U3A Sunbury is a welcoming educational, recreational and social organisation for retired and semi-retired people in the Sunbury community and surrounds.
The aim of U3A Sunbury, a large group made up of volunteers, is to promote well-being and have fun while learning or enjoying social activities. You are welcome to explore and attend any of our courses or activities for 3 weeks before officially becoming a member.

Full Year Membership is per calendar year. Half Year Membership is available in the last 6 months of the calendar year. If you are a full member of another U3A, you can join U3A Sunbury as an Associate Member. You will need to record the name and your member number of the other U3A. 

Before Enrolling

As a member of Sunbury U3A you are entitled to enrol in courses throughout the year.
Your membership fee covers the cost of courses and small extra charges for materials sometimes apply. 
Our current activities include games, languages, dancing, outings, movies, current affairs, guest speakers, philosophy and more!  We are always adding new courses and welcome members to become new group leaders.
Some of our courses have prerequisites that you need to check before enroling. For example, before enroling in our French Intermediate course, you would need to be proficient at our French Beginners level.

Also, many of our courses are very popular and some become full. To check if a course has prerequisites or available spaces, just go to the Courses page, click on Calendar or List View, then click on the course you are interested in. Details will appear about the course, including prerequisites and availability.
If you like, you can still enrol in courses that are full and be added to a Wait List. Members who are on a Wait List will be contacted by our Course Coordinator if a space becomes available.

Before becoming a Sunbury U3A member, you are most welcome to come along to our Guest Speakers where one of our Committee Members will be happy to help you with any questions you may have. Our Guest Speakers are held every 1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd Thursday morning of the month from 9:45 to 11:45 at the Sunbury Football Social Club.
