After several suggestions from our members, on Friday 16th August we are going to Scienceworks and the Planetarium This is Victoria’s leading science and technology museum which houses a myriad of marvels, with gigantic machines, an electrifying Lightening Theatre, the century old Pumping Station and of course.
The Planetarium Station all under the grand arc of the West Gate Bridge. Since entry prices vary dependent upon whether you have an Age Pension Card, which enables free entry, or only have a Senior Card which attracts a small entry charge, we have decided that on this outing we will pay the entry fee individually on the day of the visit, if it is deemed necessary.
Of course by registering for this course you will have paid for the $10.00 entry to the Planetarium.
Scienceworks also has a café where you can purchase beverages and light meals, but gluten free foods won’t be available.
There are however outdoor undercover eating areas where you could bring and eat your own lunch.
If you would like to join us, please register your interest on UMAS. Travel details will be provided closer to the time once options are investigated.
Scienceworks is at 2,Booker Street, Spotswood.
