Colleen’s talk is entitled “My Life in Textiles” Colleen has had a fascination for dyeing cloth to create unique wearable art and wall quilts in silk. She is skilled in hand painting, shibori resist dyeing, felting, layering and machine stitches. She is the author of several textile and art books and in 2006 she opened The Gallery at Mount Macedon where the works of 26 local artists are on display and for purchase. In Term 3 Colleen will invite those members who are interested in learning her skills to attend a 5 week course which will be held in her studio.

In Term 3 the Events Team will also arrange a visit to the Macedon Arts Festival where you can see and purchase some of the unique works that are modelled and displayed.

***Note this event is only open to those members who have been fully vaccinated as this is a requirement of not only U3A Sunbury but also The Sunbury Social Club where the event will be taking place.
