Come and join us for lunch and the theatre. This will be our third visit this year to The Mount Players Theatre in Macedon – 56 Smith Street, Macedon. On Sunday 20th November 2022 we meet to have lunch at 12.00 at The Macedon Lounge Restaurant – 40 Victoria Street, Macedon and then make our way to The Mount Players Theatre so we can be there at 1.30pm for a 2.00pm start.
Enjoy a free sherry or port before the show.
The play is called Madagascar which is a haunting story of a mysterious disappearance that changes three lives forever. In three different time periods, three people find themselves alone in the same hotel room overlooking the Spanish Steps in Rome.
June, is a young woman who works as a tour guide showing visitors the ruins of Rome.
Lillian, is June’s wealthy and elegant jet setting mother and Nathan is a rumpled university economist who was the best friend of Lillian’s deceased husband.
Each tells their story and why they are there. Their stories spill out, each contradicting, clarifying and deepening what the others say – becoming the strands of one gripping and disquieting tale.
Whilst The Mount Players are an amateur company, they are extremely good and we are sure you will enjoy the visit to their 100 seat theatre.
We have purchased 25 tickets at $25.00 each. If you are interested, please register on UMAS or give Marlene a call on 97444848.
