The Art of Botanical Illustration

We have been invited to a free guided tour of The Art of Botanical Illustration by The Friend of the Royal Botanic Gardens. The exquisite works of art are from international and local artists who are specialist in this field of art. Some of the Illustration will be acquired for the State Botanical Collection for future generations to view. The guided tour will start at 11.00 for about 90 mins with the artist guide talking with us about the artworks, the significance of the exhibition and the role of botanical art. The Exhibition is held at Domain House, Dallas Brook Drive, near the Botanical Gardens

For those interested we meet at the Sunbury station at 9.15am to catch the 9.36am train which arrives in Flinders Street at 10.25am. Then we walk across the road to catch any tram, except No 1, to stop 21. We then walk 5 minutes to Domain House for an 11.00am tour.
Afterwards we lunch at PJ. O’Briens The Irish Pub at 1.00pm at Southbank. Menu details to be sent closer to the time.
