Come and join us today to hear Volunteer, Rachael White from the Victorian State Emergency Service (VICSES).
Rachael who is part of VICSES at Sunbury will also be joined by some of her colleagues. It takes thousands of dedicated volunteers from across the state to provide assistance, 24 hours, 7 days a week.
They are there when we need them most, through floods, storms, earthquakes, fires and on the roads too, attending road traffic accidents.
Whilst Rachael and her friends will talk with us today about their roles during emergencies, they are going to provide us with a presentation that hits closer to home.
How can we guard our home from an emergency? What aspects of our home do we need to be aware of to ensure that we are safe?
Todays talk is proactive and about “prevention” from emergencies that could happen in our home if not addressed.
Please don’t miss this, it has important information that you need to know.
Rachael will also bring the VICSES truck for those interested to have a look at the equipment they use.

***Note this event is only open to those members who have been fully vaccinated as this is a requirement of not only U3A Sunbury but also The Sunbury Social Club where the event will be taking place.
