Can you remember the strawberry tampering incident in Queensland where sewing needles were dangerously inserted into Australian strawberries?
What was initially an isolated incident, became hoax or copy cat events that spread across the country and involved all fruits.

Today our Speaker is Inspector Emma Lobb from the Victorian Police Force who will talk with us about Operation Quebec- Rosella which effected the strawberry industry Australia wide, resulting in catastrophic economic loss.

Emma will talk with us about the resulting investigations that occurred in Victoria, which involved multi-jurisdictional collaboration.

Emma has been in the Victorian Police Force for nearly 30 years, starting as a uniformed police woman in the inner city areas.

In 2003 Emma was promoted to Detective Senior Constable working on cases of fraud, Cold Cases Homicides and Missing Persons and was also within Crime Command involved on highly classified operations.

In 2019 Emma was again promoted to Senior Detective Sergeant at the Road Policing Enforcement Division and a year later received another promotion to Inspector as the Staff Officer to the Assistant Commissioner Road Policing Enforcement Division.
Throughout her time in the Victorian Police Force Emma has undertaken numerous educational qualifications and has been the recipient of various awards.
